The Logo,

The Triskele

The Triskele is an abstracted image of the Asphodel, a flower that grows in all parts of Lazio and is known for its potent healing qualities.

The wild plant, a metaphor of rebirth, was part of wall decorations adorning Etruscan tombs. Stylized spiral- like figures sometimes represented the flower.

A Triskele, just like the Asphodel, is an antique, universal symbol with multiple significations. The continuous cycle of life from past to the present and future is one of them. The three spirals representing nature, mankind, and the divine form a unifying visual and symbolic entity.

The Team

Etruria Now was created by Cordula von Keller, a Swiss German art historian and curator, who has explored and lived part-time in the area for nearly 40 years. Her special field of research is post war Italian art.

This platform would not have existed if it had not had the support and relentless help of friends and locals, who have contributed to discover hidden gems, magical nature.
They are a constant source of inspiration.

I want to give a special mention to Mario Valerio Nocenzi, the mind behind MOD Creative Group, who helped develop the digital platform and the visual idnetity.
Augusto Terenzi is a puppeteer who has worked in Italy, France, Great Britain, yet always remained very connected with his roots and many local cultural initiatives of remarkable quality often unknown to those who are not intricately initiated into this territory. His introductions and advice are crucial.

Gianni Massironi is a film producer and director who has worked with Michelangelo Antonioni. He keeps a constant vigilant eye on the platform’s visual and written content while contributing his translation in Italian.
